The European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) training “Applying GIS to Reduce Infrastructure Construction and Operation Costs” starts on April 28 in our training room and will last until April 30, including a total of 15 hours. The course is face-to-face and will teach participants how to use advanced analytics to plan, design and create a smarter, more efficient, collaborative and sustainable infrastructure environment, while reducing costs, increasing efficiency and improving profitability in construction. The specialized training is designed for engineers, architects and designers with a completed higher education.
Participants will acquire knowledge about the essence and basic concepts related to geographic information systems (GIS), as well as the application of GIS in architecture and construction. Mobile GIS applications and the application of web GIS in the planning, design and construction of buildings and facilities are also part of the training modules. Students will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the so-called “operational dashboards”, the use of GIS for working with data from drones in the construction of infrastructure and with IoT and GIS in architecture, design, construction and operation of infrastructure.
In addition to the theoretical part, the lectures include practical demonstrations and exercises under the guidance of the instructor.
