On August 8 and 9, the course “Information Management according to ISO 19650” will be held in the training room of the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in the construction sector. During the two-day training, participants will gain knowledge about the main activities and good practices for managing and delivering information to construction-investment projects. The course is designed for a wide range of professionals in the construction sector who are involved in construction and investment design, project management, consultancy and supervision or administration. These can be experts from small and medium-sized enterprises in the construction sector, as well as from small companies with an average market capitalization.
Lecturers in information management training according to ISO 19650 are university professors and proven specialists in the professional field of architecture and construction from the Bulgarian Association for Project Management in Construction. The course is divided into 3 modules that combine different aspects and basic technical concepts of Building Information Modeling (BIM) practice with the framework established by the ISO 19650 series of standards. The aim of the first module “Basic concepts and activities when working with BIM” is acquiring permanent knowledge about the basic terms, practices and procedures when working with SIM. The second module describes and explains the main documents applicable to information management according to ISO19650. The third module presents the ISO 19650 processes in their entirety, linking them to the concepts, practices and documents learned in the first two training modules.
The course “Information Management according to ISO 19650” lays the foundation of building information modeling (BIM), better known and popular as BIM. In practice, BIM is fundamental in the process of digitization of the construction industry. During the training lectures, the participants acquire knowledge and skills about the basic principles of working with digital information according to accepted international and national standards.
