Successfully completed was the second course of the training program of the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in the Construction Sector – “Information Management according to ISO 19650”. The course was held on August 8 and 9 in the EDIH training hall, with increased interest from the Bulgarian construction companies.

In the course of the two-day training, they learned about the main activities and good practices for managing and delivering information on construction-investment projects.
The course “Information Management according to ISO 19650” is intended for a wide range of professionals in the construction sector who are engaged in construction-investment design, project management, consulting and supervisory activities or administration. These are the experts from small and medium-sized enterprises in the construction sector, as well as from small companies with an average market capitalization.
Lecturers in information management training according to ISO 19650 are university professors and proven specialists in the professional field of architecture and construction from the Bulgarian Association for Project Management in Construction. The course is divided into 3 modules that combine different aspects and basic technical concepts of Building Information Modeling (BIM) practice with the framework established by the ISO 19650 series of standards. The aim of the first module “Basic concepts and activities when working with BIM” is acquiring permanent knowledge about the basic terms, practices and procedures when working with SIM. The second module describes and explains the main documents applicable to information management according to ISO19650. The third module presents the ISO 19650 processes in their entirety, linking them to the concepts, practices and documents learned in the first two training modules.
