The Management Board of BCC was informed about the progress in the work of the European Digital Innovation Hub in the construction sector, of which the branch organization is the initiator and co-founder. The chairman of EDIH in the construction sector, Mr. Lyubomir Peynovski, briefly presented the path taken and the efforts made by the Bulgarian Construction Chamber (BCC) together with the other eleven partners for the creation and validation of EDIH.
The digital and green transition is present and future, and we as the Chamber aim to be as useful as possible and to support construction companies to cope with the digitalization process. In order to be prepared, competitive and in step with the constantly developing trends and the leading European companies in the industry, he said. As proof of the built trust and positive public image, the professional and sectoral specialization of EDIH for digitization of the construction sector, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works defined the role of EDIH in the developed and adopted National Strategy for Digital Transformation of the Construction Sector 2030 and the Roadmap for its implementation, he noted.
The trainings and services that EDIH will provide completely free of charge to the construction companies are about to start soon, explained its head, Maria Nakova. The aim is for companies to be supported in building capacity on the path of digital transformation of the industry and to have access to European partners, markets and support for the implementation of innovations, she added.
Eng. Lyubka Deneva from BCC presented the types of training that the hub will provide. They are divided into seven categories and cover the entire set of digital skills of those employed in the construction-investment process.
The premises where the hub will be housed and where the trainings will be held are now ready. They are in the BCC building in Sofia at 6 str.Mikhail Tenev, 6. They will be officially opened after the upcoming EDIH General Assembly on June 21, 2024 at 12:00 p.m.
