The European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in the construction sector is expanding its activities throughout Bulgaria and will now conduct training courses not only at its headquarters in Sofia. The first such training starts on November 20 in Dimitrovgrad. The theoretical classes of the course “Methods for applying liquid screeds on underfloor heating” will be held in the conference room of the local Estilo hotel, and the acquisition of practical skills will be at a real construction site in the city. The training will last until November 22.
The course will introduce the liquid screed Alpha 2000, which is suitable for laying on underfloor heating. In addition to its high laying productivity compared to other types of screeds, Alpha 2000 is one of the materials with the highest heat transfer coefficient for water underfloor heating. The training corresponds to the other courses in the program, thus creating a cycle of knowledge acquisition, covering the three principles of healthy living, namely – “insulate first”, “the values of the interior” and “solid is important”. Participants must have experience in laying screeds or machine plasters.
The training is intended for professionals in the field of architecture, engineering and construction such as architects, engineers, design firms, technicians from municipalities, technicians from construction and supervision companies.
Theoretical knowledge includes mastering the relevant regulatory framework, checking and preparing the base, types of systems, influence of room conditions on the quality of laying, errors during laying and quality control. Practical activities include checking and preparing the base, working with components and accessories, the sequence of laying, laying screeds on different substrates, influence of room conditions on the quality of laying and quality control.
