The EDIH course for innovative products will be held from 30.09 to 04.10

From 30.09 to 04.10, the course of the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in the Construction Sector for the use of innovative products will be held at the Vocational Training Center at Baumit Bulgaria in the town of Elin Pelin. The training is present and includes the acquisition of knowledge and skills for working with innovative products of one of the partners in ECIH Baumit Bulgaria, as the “Clima” and “Yonit” systems will be presented, which support the purification of air in the premises and the regulation of humidity. In this way, a healthier and more comfortable living and living environment is created.
The requirement for participants in the training is to have at least completed the tenth grade, a medical certificate and basic experience in construction activities such as plastering and painting. The course is intended for architects, engineers, employees of design firms, construction experts and workers from municipalities, construction and supervisory firms. These can be workers in small and medium-sized enterprises in the construction sector, in small companies with an average market capitalization, as well as in public sector organizations but for their non-economic activities.
Lecturers in training on innovative products are specialists with proven experience in working with them. The 5-day course includes the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the use of innovative products.
The theoretical orientation of the training is related to the relevant regulations, to the inspection and preparation of the base, to the different types of systems, to the influence of the conditions in the premises on the quality of laying, to the mistakes that are made in the laying process, and to the subsequent control of the quality. Hands-on activities are about checking and preparing the base, the use of components and accessories and the sequence of laying. These include learning the skills to apply plasters and paints on different substrates, to establish the influence of indoor conditions on the quality of the application and to control the same quality. Practical training will be carried out with the help of electric and hand tools and with real materials from production.

The course of EDIH in the Construction Sector for the information management according to ISO 19650 will be held on August 8 and 9

On August 8 and 9, the course “Information Management according to ISO 19650” will be held in the training room of the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in the construction sector. During the two-day training, participants will gain knowledge about the main activities and good practices for managing and delivering information to construction-investment projects. The course is designed for a wide range of professionals in the construction sector who are involved in construction and investment design, project management, consultancy and supervision or administration. These can be experts from small and medium-sized enterprises in the construction sector, as well as from small companies with an average market capitalization.

EDIH in the Construction Sector launches its training program on July 25

The European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in the construction sector launched its training program on July 25, when the 4-day course “Introduction to the digitization of the construction and investment process in Bulgaria – level 1” will begin. The introductory training, which will be held on July 25 and 26 and on August 1 and 2 in the EDIH training hall, includes the acquisition of basic concepts and tools and of good practices when working with digital information.
The course is designed for a wide range of professionals in the construction sector who are involved in construction and investment design, project management, consulting and supervision or administration, and are now entering the field of digital information processing. Lecturers in the introductory trainings are university professors and proven specialists in the professional field of architecture and construction from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, Bulgarian Association for Project Management in Construction, Bulgarian Chamber of Architects, Bulgarian Construction Chamber, ESRI Bulgaria.
The training is divided into 8 modules that cover different aspects of digitization. These modules are as follows: “Introduction to digitization”, “Digital tools and software”, “Good practices in working with digital information”, “Digital competences and working with digital resources”, “Digital collaboration and project management”, “ Legal framework of digitalization in construction”, “Electronic management in construction” and “Digitalization and intellectual property in construction”.
In total, there are 4 introductory trainings in the EDIH program. They lay the foundation for digital transformation in the construction business. During the lectures and seminars, the participants acquire knowledge and skills about the basic principles of working with digital information according to accepted international and national standards. They are introduced to the basic principles of the next level in the process of digitization of the industry, namely – building information modeling, better known as BIM, and its interaction and simultaneous application with geographic information systems (GIS). In addition, introductory trainings provide basic knowledge about automation and robotics in modern construction. The EDIH in the Construction Sector was opened

The training center of the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in the construction sector was opened by the chairman of the Management Board (MB) of the association Lyubomir Peynovski and the chairman of the Bulgarian Construction Chamber, engineer Iliyan Terziev. The official opening of the modern learning center was also attended by the members of the Board of Directors of EDIH in the construction sector. On more than 300 square meters in the BCC headquarters, there are 4 halls for trainings and meetings, equipped with the most modern technologies. Association “EDIH in the construction sector” supports small and medium-sized enterprises, public institutions and society in the process of digital transformation of the construction industry. BCC is the initiator and co-founder of the association, which unites the efforts, expert capacity and potential of the Bulgarian Chamber of Architects, the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG), the Lyuben Karavelov University of Applied Sciences and the Institute of Mechanics – BAS with leading organizations and companies from the private sector, specialized in construction, project management, technologies and innovations such as Cleantech Bulgaria Ltd., Geostroy AD, Planex Ltd., Bulgarian Association for Project Management in Construction (BAUPS), Baumit Ltd. and Esri Bulgaria Ltd.

EDIH in the Construction Sector offers over 40 types of training for all companies in the construction business, which will be held in the newly opened training center. Training starts already this year. In order to register for them, construction companies must fill out the “Questionnaire for initial expression of interest in using services provided by the Association “EDIH in the construction sector”. The questionnaire is also available in the Services section of the association’s website.

The Management Board of BCC was informed about the progress in the work of the European Digital Innovation Hub in the construction sector, of which the branch organization is the initiator and co-founder. The chairman of EDIH in the construction sector, Mr. Lyubomir Peynovski, briefly presented the path taken and the efforts made by the Bulgarian Construction Chamber (BCC) together with the other eleven partners for the creation and validation of EDIH.
